Hi Alan

Have you considered the Uni chaser from Ashley Isles.  They do a 16TPI and I think they have also brought out a 20 TPI - have a look at John Berkeley's website

Cheers Dave

Hello Alan & Dave, I have one of the Uni-chasers using which you use the same tool with a hand held tool rest to turn both male and female threads.I have to say I find it very difficult to use on male threads and have reverted to the old one. If you are an experienced 'chaser' you may have more luck. Just my opinion of course.  Cheers    Alan T.

Hi BAZ and All,
I do agree with you ,it seems a long winded way to get the information you  need, but this is the way some seller do there business,  The add clearly say  "HAND THREAD CHASERS," and when you click on the site and open the page you get a picture of a metal turning lathe, this is a bit disconcerting, but when you get used to the net ,you will find that seller use this technique quite often, it is a way of getting you to see other items that they also sell , a bit off-putting , I know , But that's the way it works, you always have to look for the unexpected and look down the left side of the page for further links to find the item you are looking for, Sorry to be so long winded myself but some only look at the first thing they see, and don't follow the links. hope this of some help.

PS,  It is sometimes better if a phone number is available, to phone up and ask for what you want, this often turns out  a  much faster way of getting  things.
