hi all
this is my first attempt at closed segmented work. i still have to get the gaps a little better.the segments were sanded on the sander atachment that i made for the lathe.

Very nice Dennis

I would think its a lot harder for the joint segmented than the open due to the large gaps.....you can loose a few mm and it wont matter too much.

Great job done here though. well done

Good work Dennis.  The segments seem to fit really well and the contrasting woods go well together.  I think though that I would like a softer curve at the wide point.

hi Marc and Oddjob
thank you for your comments. this is my first time at closed segment work the flow of the curve is a little harsh but i was a little hasty in finishing it and could of dune better. this is a lurning curve and i intend doing a larger vase and take more time overe it.
