Hi all,

I've put a trailer together for the next series of videos, featuring Peter Dunsmore, to give you an idea of what's around the corner. I'm currently editing the video so will start uploading the series soon.

Hi Ben

This will be top quality stuff....again.
Love the new tunes too.

Look forward to the series as I'm into boxes.............well, living in the shed you need something to keep you warm!

I'm also looking forward to this new series. Every woodworker should make a box at some point!

I've definitely heard that music at the end elsewhere though... I won't say it out loud but I may whisper it...!!

Andy's latest on using a lapping plate was also good.

Hi Ben

Is there a way of downloading the videos to view at a later date. SA is a long way from the UK and it takes quite a while for electrons to travel the 6000 miles.

I find it so irritating waiting for the video to load that I have given up even trying to watch  even with an ADSL line..

Thanx

Toothy

The videos play ok for me, it`s just the words don`t fit Andy`s lip movements.

Is this normal or something wrong with my connection?

Toothy, there's no way to download the videos at present I'm afraid. The videos are hosted in the USA so we have similar distance issues here in the UK. When I get some time I'll upload some lower resolution videos to see if that helps.

Baz, I was having some technical issues with two of Andy's videos. Fine my end but something happened during the encoding process online that knocked Andy's speech out of sync. These should be isolated cases though. Is everything else working ok for you?

Hi Ben.

Yep, everything else about the video`s were fine.

I think you`ve done really well with these video`s, did you use a filter to cut down on glare in the ones with andy?   .

Looking forward to the Peter Dunesmore ones, i`m getting into this box making.

Best wishes.

Hi Baz, thanks, that's really good to know

Apart from a little colour correction, I haven't used any filters. However, something is happening at the upload stage that over saturates the colours a bit. I'm investigating and hope to have it solved soon.

To enable Toothy to view the vidios can't they be loaded onto a disk or memory stick and posted to him, I am not saying for you to do it but we have people on the site who have the ability to carry out the procedure.

Just a thought. George

Ben.
I think your find Baz was making a very valid point there.........if it wasn't filters, you must of used plenty of makeup for the lighting glare when he bent over!

George
Sadly there isn't a cheap way of doing what your asking.....The only way we all can view the videos without brakes is to let it load completely then watch it.........Your also start to find there will be more than one who will want it and before you know it, it will be pointless viewing them on here as everyone will get them delivered!

Filters and glare? Damn cheek! I'll have you know this is a fashion statement!
As for voice sync problems, I did say to Ben right from the start I should be dubbed or at least subtitled so people could understand me!

cheers,
Andy

Andy
Wait until you see me at the show.........your know I can understand where your coming from!

Regarding the lip-sync.........I didn't know you could get subtitles in your language!

Joking aside, the videos are becoming a great part of this website and I'm sure I speak for all (except those who's got slow Internet) that we cant wait for the next installments.

You, Ben and the other staff are doing a great job.

Sorry, just caught up with all of this - very cryptic OPJ, I have been a fan of his for sometime and the intro music is - I thought i had put in the wrong URL!

Great videos Andy, in fact everyone, enjoying them all - even though it was like a Bruce Lee movie!

I see Andy says  it is a fashion statement! Who does the hair and make up

The vidios are good  to watch so much better than reading about the methods used, well done that man
