Calling keen amateurs in Bristol

3 forum posts | Hello, my first post!!!
I'm setting up a small business producing small cabinets and shelving units in Bristol and am looking for a couple of keen woodworkers to do some basic shaping, pattern cutting and routing to make parts for assembly and final finishing.
The items we will make will have a bit of character (shabby chic kind of thing) so the finish doesn't have to be perfect. The kind of level of ability required would be beyond a novice, but wouldn't need someone fully skilled. A keen amateur of hobby woodworker with a small workshop in the garage would be ideal. Actually if you had a table a saw and a router that would probably do!
The pieces will be small and fairly portable and I have got a retail outlet that is crying out for more, so there should be a steady stream, you just do as much or as little as you are comfortable with and I'll pay for the work piece by piece, so you can make the bits you enjoy. I'll even supply the wood, so there is no big cost outlay.
I could also do with someone who could cut shapes (especially hearts) out of small planks and make small hearts (or use the ones cut out) to decorate other small pieces.
Anyway, if you are interested in making a some cash for basic cuts, routing and shaping, please get in touch on here by personal messaging and we could discuss the project, I can show you some templates and how much you would like to produce - it could be literally an hour or two a week, maybe into a part time or full time job if it takes off as I hope it will.
If you know someone who this might interest, please pass it on.
Thank you very much, Best wishes, Simon Edited By sparky on 02/02/2010 21:40:35 |

Could you please fill in your profile so anyone who may like to contact you will know a bit more about yourself and the things your done, tools and anything else you would like to place in it.........Also, I've removed your phone number as it can make things a bit awkward if some other people use it. You can of course give it out to the replies from personal messaging.......... Also, a few images of what your expecting could help a lot too. Hope your venture produces fruit Marc |
