I purchased a Kitty combination machine some time back and found in the kit that was with it a scoring saw blade by Atkinson Walker. Having looked up some info on the web I wonder if it actually has a use on my machine?

Any help or info gratefully received. Thanks in advance John

A scoring saw cuts a shallow groove on the underside of the stock, this is to prevent break out, especially with laminates.

Thanks Ron, I deduced that from info on the net and the machines that use them have 2 blades - the scoring blade and the main blade to cut through, but my saw is not capable of this unless you were to score the work first and then change the blade and cut to size? This seems to me not very efficient hence my question is it really any use to me? Any boards I would use I would probably cut using my track saw. Any more thoughts chaps?

John
