Hi derek cheers do not know how to turn them i was waiting for my grandson to do it

Thanks for the comments I did not mean to put the bowl on it was a nightmare to do far to rotten

I bought three pieces of ebay for £23 and they have all been like it

I have one piece left it is 8×10" square so I am going to make a bandsaw box and hope for the best

That is the omly problem with spalted wood it is getting it at the right time I have at least 8 pieces that I got and have rough turned, luckily they all feel quite solid and not to punky.

Good luck with the bandsawn box I have made some in the past and enjoyed doing them, but one in spalted wood should look quite good so looking forward to seeing it
