Hi Paul I've looked and am amazed - I want one too but haven't got the £600 or so to spare at present. I'd love to hear from someone who has seen and used one. Richard

_(90_x_120).gif) Where is the crown fence eh! eh! Think Olly is gonna have a field day with this one, if he doesn't then it will be the old fashioned P45(self appointed section) . Yeah , okay you would have to be a persistant type of stupid to cut your finger off (but there was a guy who tried to saw his own head of "manually" once) but the bit where he's cutting the tiny bit in half , well one slip and the wood is a bit darker than required. I like my fingers behind the cutting edge or at a push stick distance in front of it.

I wonder how much a new fence costs..........It looked part of the equipment!

.jpg) Rob, you say "manually" but what exactly do you mean? I've heard a tale of the guy who tried to commit suicide by going head-first in to a circular rip saw... He went in with his head too high above the bed. As the front came in to contact with his forehead/skull - BANG! - his face was slammed down on to the bed and he staggered backwards several feet!! Being the persistent so-and-so that he was, he found his feet and decided to give it another go... So, head down against the bed, both hands on the machine and PUSH!

Crikey Olly, do you love horror stories!!
_(90_x_120).gif) Olly, I was referring to the Chinese guy back in 1200 ish AD who having upset the Emporer decided to repent by attempting to saw his head off with a bamboo saw! As for the chap you mention ... well I guess he was in need of psychiatric help some time previous to the incident. Back on thread , it is an interesting tool but not one that is viable unless you only make small items, in which case a decent tenon saw would be just as versatile and just as quiet.( and much cheaper, the blade looks to be of the Japanese pattern hardpoint type with the "machine" costing what it does how much is a new blade?)

 Why can't I see Rob's post?

Paul Have you accidentally hit the 'ignore member' icon, that could be why. Marc
Cheers Sparky Spot on as always, but now when I click un ignore nothing happens.
Quite impressive, but not at £600:00 I think i'll manage as I'll never have £600:00. Derek.
Sparky I can see now thanks again. I didn't realise it cost £600, a bit to steep for me I think.
Very inpressive, but there's some other power tool i could do with first and a fue hand tools come to that. P J
Paul Glad it was that and nothing else.

Paul Fantastic machine..at a price. Trust the Americans(?) to come up with this one. I also want one but would need a lottery win first. Couldn't even put this on my Xmas list.. Jonny
Jonny You could put it on your list but I doubt your ever get it! You'll have to ask very nicley........
Asking never got me anywhere, I just have to get used to doing without. Derek.
