    Hey!

I'm looking for some finishes for a small jewelry box (hinges, locks etc) and I can't find much based in the UK. I've found this site selling what seems to be an ideal lock in the US:

    http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?Offerings_ID=9867

Does anyone know of a UK equivalent? I guess I'm looking for a site that specialise in materials for small boxes!

     Thanks for any help

This site has some good "bits" for boxes:

i had the same problem as you, and was lucky to find a local locksmith who had some old stock . this was an old firm of many years trading not a high street modern shop, its worth a try.

I thought I put this in yesterday, Hobbies catalogue has a lot of jewellery box fittings in it, and most hobbies shops will stock or can get for you any of their pieces quite easily, I regularly get from a shop in Banbury, called Trinders, a card of hinges and clasps for boxes, and the variety is very good, also look at the page I put on here and in my gallery from Timecraft.

Try www.clasissichandtools.com or type brusso into google. This firm appears to have just the stuff I need for my box-making. The stuff isn't cheap but then quality never is.
