I have a INCA EURO 205 Band saw Sold by Axminster Tools I had a accident with the blade which in turn damaged the rubber on the drive wheel, The rubber tire reference No. 205.5000. I have contacted Axminster they told me that, that make was not sold any more because they went T/up. Aminster was not intrested in my problem. The machine is in good order and  I do not want to throw it away. Can any one help?

Hi Roger Welcome to this site.

I don't know much about band saws and I'm pretty shocked that Axminster cant help. Is there anyway of cutting out the damaged part of the rubber and gluing (with one form or other) another section in its place......I'm sure that it maybe possible to source rubber than to through the bandsaw away........

Cutting a heel from an old secondhand shoe would have the right thickness to replace the damaged part.......just a thought.

    Good luck anyway

How about measuring the wheel diameter and then trying to get a replacement tyre based on that size. You may also need to measure the width of the tyre as well.

    Hi Roger,

it might be worth giving Derek Pyatt a call. He is very knowledgeable on old machinery and used to keep some pretty obscure spares for a huge variety of machines, and has great knowledge on most machines, so he may have something that will suit, or be able to recommend a suitable tyre.

    hope this helps,

Hi  Roger, Have you looked in the Rutlands catalogue? They sell bandsaw tires 12" for £13.95 and 14" for the same price. Page 193 item 4. Best of luck,    John kinch.
