All that oak... It must be nice to live the life of an Architect, Mike!

Bootiful job Mike.  Better than your picture hanging talent displayed in the distant room!  Is that a statue of Sparky by the door?

    Olly,

I built the house years before I became an Architect.......I was straight from a career as a sportsman, untrained, and spent 11 months grafting 90 hours a week, alone, to get it done. Building this and the house next door inspired me to go and train as an Architect. Now, I'm thinking I would rather design furniture!

    Sparky,

you are going to have to explain LOL to me, I'm afraid.......

    Baz,

yeah, yeah....... the next job is to move the 'phone socket from the brickwork above the settle onto the side wall under the stairs, and hang the 'phone on the wall. At the same time, I am putting in an intercom next to the phone, connected out to my workshop.....ostensibly so that Lorraine can call me when dinner is ready, but actually so I can complain of thirst when I need a cup of tea! Thats got to be £15 well spent!!!

    Richard,

be very careful what you say about Tokolosh! He is the Malawian version of the boogey-man, and eats small children alive apparently. Comparing him to some cross-eyed person whose nose meets his lower lip could cause you problems!!!! As for the picture awaiting hanging.......you can get off my case too!!!!! (It has been on my list for a couple of months now!)

    Mike
