    do not know who designed or made these stairs but great space savers for small hallway not from this website

    This could go horribly wrong!

    Imagine walking down stairs in the dark, only to stand in the drawer left open by mistake! Worse still, the riser above appears to be a drawer too.......

    Nice  idea, but as Mr Garnham says, it's asking for trouble.

    What could work though, is fitting full extension drawers in the cupboard under the stairs to make maximum use of an otherwise dead space.

    What about adding some kind of self-closing mechanism, if such a thing exists?

    I wonder how strong those treads are without the usual support of the risers? Oh well, at least it's not made from MDF!
