    Thanks Sparky. Although they now supply a cast iron fence as standard, it's a lovely machine to work with. If anyone's seriously considering buying a planer-thicknesser, I would advise them (from personal experience) not to go for anything less than this monster.

    I used to own something that was only £100 cheaper in price and, in comparison, I can honestly say you get a heck of a lot more for your money - there's an awful lot less swearing going on in the workshop now as well!

    That's not the "wheel kit" I use with the machine by the way - this photo' really needs updating. I was left with the problem of getting this 150kg lump from my driveway and in to the garage - fortunately, a neighbour had this great big trolley-thing to hand.

    If money wasn't a problem I would of gone for this myself. Its had a few good write ups in the past.
